Good morning! Good morning!! I just love going to the beach! went this weekend for my first swim and I was the whitest person there. I looked like a ghost lol. I discovered this small beach and stayed till after sundown. There was this beach bar playing reggae music and I was sipping my iced cappuccino, gazing at the bluest sea ever!! and for a few hours I erased every little trouble from my head and just inhaled the sea breeze.. ohhh how I wish I was a mermaid...
My entry for this week for
summer of colour gave me a little trouble since brown is not one of my favorite colours.. but I added my little guys, Shy and Yellow and of course Daisy always present :) This print is available in my

Tomorrow Roger Waters from Pink Floyd is giving a concert and I'm going!!! YES! and Bon Jovi next week :) Isn't Jon Bon Jovi so cute?! he's a Pisces like me ;)

ReplyDeleteYou know what, you might won't like me for saying this but I can't stand Bon Jovi. I'm so sorry. I used to like him, really, but then my co-worker was obsessed with him and I had to listen to Bon Jovi music every work day for 4 years. Not funny! Even those songs I used to love I ended up hating because of my over exposure to them. I am ruined for the rest of my life. :)
But I like pisces. :) My mom is one and my best friend too. :)
I have to tell you two amazing stories about Roger Waters and Jon Bon Jovi.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago, I was working with a film agency and they had their offices at Bray Film Studios. It's only a small studio. They do a lot of TV there. Anyway, when I arrived I could hear this amazing music coming out of one of the stages - incredible guitar music. Turns out it was Roger rehearsing! Lucky me eh? Free concert! (I didn't see him though!).
And many years ago (probably around 1994), I was working in London. The DJ on the local radio station said "Apparently Bon Jovi are playing in Covent Garden this lunchtime... As if...." (Covent Garden is a shopping area in London famous for buskers). Well, I figured it wouldn't hurt to go along and see. Guess what.... Jon Bon Jovi and Ricky S were playing an acoustic set in Covent Garden and I was there!! Another free concert!
Phew, after all that writing I nearly forgot to say I liked your painting!! I do love your whimsey :)

I had trouble with brown too. It's hard creating things with colours we're not drawn too - at least I think so.

ReplyDeleteI love the look on her face--she looks like she has jsut gotten dopey with the heat of the sun--you know what I mean--kind of in a trance because it's hot and you get so relaxed. Wish I had an ocean in Missouri to jump into with the heat we've been having!
