No fear No guilt

Do you sometimes feel like you're putting your needs on the back burner in order to please others?  so people can say that you are doing the "proper" thing?... and then one day you finally "wake up"?!
This is what my first itsy bitsy book is about.
No fear, No guilt!
Sometimes we just have to make that big leap, to be able to continue making small steps to find our happiness!
Where do you, find courage and strength?..  I am blessed to have the support of my grown up daughters and my dearest friends!

I say..let's vote to have "friendship day"!! to honour our friends!! yes?

Hope you've enjoyed my little art therapy book :)  Stay tuned for another one about Yellow and Shy..  meanwhile, my dear friend Terry is arriving today from Wash. DC to visit, and I get to see her tomorrow afternoon and my heart is just beating so fast!!
one last thing before I go...tell your friends how much they mean to you! and share the love!! xoxoxoxo

personalized paintings

I have been asked by several stores to create personalized paintings as birth announcements and this is what I came up with :)   I've been having too much fun with this!! and of course, you know who, is included!  little Daisy is holding one of the balloons. I was thinking of having her pop it..but don't know if the mommies ordering the painting would find it funny!
The paintings will be listed on etsy tomorrow morning :)

The Acropolis

Although I have moved here in Athens, seven years ago, I sometimes have to pinched myself that I am actually living here now, and not just visiting my sister during summer vacation!  it's kind of surreal at times. One day I'm in Washington, DC and the next, I'm moving to Greece. and although it hasn't been an easy transition, I have to confess...I'm staying put! I'm in love with Athens! with the people, the neighbourhoods, the weather (although it's snowing!! right as we speak), the sun! oh and the blue blue sky! This sky, that makes me feel so alive and free, that I can accomplish anything!!
Yesterday I went for a walk in Plaka. It's the oldest neighbourhood in Athens. It's right under the Acropolis and it looks like a village within a city. That's surreal!! Don't let the shabby look fool you. Those tiny houses are worth millions! You can't find real estate under one million euros!

My friend Terry

I received the most exciting email this morning! My friend Terry, whom I haven't seen in many years is coming to visit Athens!!  I met her at one of my exhibitions when I used to live in Wash. D.C. She was one of my biggest fans and would come to all my exhibitions along with her friend Elizabeth. and the three of us just clicked!  we had so many things in common, our love for the arts, music and would meet for lunch and sit for hours talking. When I moved to Greece, we lost touch and now to receive her email is.. well I am just so thrilled and exited!! I can't wait to see her at the end of this month!  so much catching up to do.. I am so super exited!  can't wait to see you my dear Terry :)) xoxoxoxo
