Red

This has been the hottest summer I can remember! For twenty days now the temps have been over 100 degrees! Today was the coolest so far...90! lol  ok enough with summer already! I know I was eager for it to arrive but....please... I can't think in this kind of heat, let alone paint!  I want to share this painting with you, that I created last year. It's my entry for MMM.  Red...the colour of passion!!

  2. This is wonderful. I love the little heart bursting out the top. I was in Washington State for 4 weeks and they were pretty hot. Now I'm home in Arizona and .... well this is the desert.

  3. Love your concept for RED! It's red hot here too. A trip to Greece is on my bucket list as my great grandparents were from there but I don't know much about the weather, etc...

  4. Beautiful Joanna! (love those vibrant colors) After a long cold winter, everyone's wish in the states here for a warm summer came true--I guess we should be careful what we wish for :)

  5. Oh don't get me onto the weather... You know what us Brits are like, we just love to talk about it. We had an amazing June, then rubbish ever since. Today is grey and overcast. Wanna swap?
    Love your piece.

  18. Really the heat in the clue half abated when it is in excess.. not good to paint.
but there are also the fresh and romantic nights.. that inspire to the love.. or a beautiful image as the one of your work that is also pure inspiration.
    Thank you for visiting me.
    A big hugs,
